Overview
Distress is informative before it is pathological. Its pathology is determined by the accuracy of the information it conveys about your current, past, or anticipated well-being. You wouldn't be looking for help if you weren't in distress. What is distress telling you about your self and what you need to do? Are you willing to make changes to improve your well-being, or just wanting to shut off the distress?
I work from home and therefor have much lower overhead and no commute. I pass that along in the form of more flexibility for your schedule and no cancellation or rescheduling fees.
A professor once told me there was a study showing the period of time when people get the most measurable benefit from therapy comes between when they schedule their first appointment and when they show up for their first appointment. So get to work!
