Overview

I have been in the Social Work field for the past five years, starting as a youth counselor. I had gotten my undergraduate degree in Sociology and have just obtained my Masters in Social Work at Portland State University. Working with people towards a collaborative goal is the biggest passion of mine. Being down to earth and open minded allows me to connect with clients and help me better understand where they are coming from in their situation. Working with addictions, maladaptive behavioral issues, and trauma, I aspire to use Humanistic, that emphasize the Client's autonomy and internal validation throughout the therapeutic process in incredibly important for it allows the client to grow in all areas unconditionally. Through personal life experiences and through education, a profound lesson I have acknowledged and practiced is that we are products of our environment and whatever we surround ourselves with we will inevitably gravitate towards those people and things.

I am a master's-level candidate holding a certificate to practice in Oregon as a social work associate. I practice under a board-approved clinical supervisor, pursuant to OAR 877-020-0012, at Mindful Therapy Group, P.C.
