Overview
Welcome to my practice! Here is a snapshot of my history and approach in treatment. I am the youngest of ten children, which taught me important life lessons. Losing a parent at an early age enhanced my understanding of loss and empathy. With over 20 years of experience in Mental Health, I have treated adults, adolescents, and children in both inpatient and outpatient contexts. Our journey towards your mental health goals requires a partnership. I am the expert on mental health diagnoses, medications, and treatments, while you are the expert on yourself. Education is a strength I bring to my background as a nurse educator. Transparency and education are my promises to you. In therapy, I use an eclectic approach with brief interventions throughout medication management sessions. My education includes a Master's in Psychiatric Mental Health, Integrative Healthcare Fellowship, and Master's in Nursing Education.
