Overview
My role as a therapist is a remarkable privilege. I approach my work with a warm, compassionate manner and view therapy as a partnership between equals. As a caretaker myself, I have dedicated myself to clients who are themselves caretakers.
Healthcare workers, first-responders, therapists, social service employees, parents, teachers, and servicemembers are indispensable caretakers. Yet self-care and boundaries are often dismissed by these caretakers as indulgences. Caretakers often feel pressured to perform at unsustainable levels, making it difficult for them to appreciate their own value. Worse, the relentless imbalance of caring for others without replenishing themselves may lead to personal or professional burnout.
I believe each person’s story can be filled with strength, resilience, and joy despite the presence of loss or hardship. I offer a safe, restorative space in which to explore what is, what could be, and together we will work to bridge the difference.
