Overview
My therapeutic approach is primarily existential and involves exploring the unique ways that you experience and undertake your life. Within this therapeutic framework, your struggles are given the freedom to reveal themselves in their unique manifestations without jumping to explanations or forcing the problems to conform to theories. The goal of psychotherapy is to empower you with a sense of freedom to (re)discover possibilities in order to enact meaningful and fulfilling choices (yet always within the limitations of your particular existence). One of my main roles in helping to facilitate this goal involves highlighting any incongruencies between your current ways of living life and how you genuinely want to be living your life. I then help you explore ways of resolving these incongruencies, the resolution of which leads to reestablishing a greater openness to life.
