What is Apple Health?

Apple Health is Washington State’s Medicaid program, administered by the Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA). When you qualify, you gain access to essential health benefits such as:

  • Outpatient mental health therapy
  • Medication management

For many patients, Apple Health makes it possible to get high quality behavioral health services at little or no cost.

How Apple Health Enrollment Works

When you’re first approved for Medicaid, you may begin under Fee for Service (FFS), also known as ProviderOne. This stage is temporary.

Step 1: Fee for Service (ProviderOne)

  • You receive a ProviderOne Services Card from the state.
  • This card confirms your Apple Health eligibility.
  • You can use it to access care while your longer term coverage is finalized.

Step 2: Enrollment in an MCO (Managed Care Organization)

After FFS, you’ll be automatically assigned to an MCO.
Your MCO is the insurance company that manages your benefits and helps coordinate your healthcare.

Common Apple Health MCOs include:

  • Molina Healthcare
  • Community Health Plan of Washington (CHPW)
  • UnitedHealthcare Community Plan
  • Coordinated Care
  • Wellpoint

Each MCO sends you its own Member ID card. This is the card you’ll use for most appointments, including mental health care.

Your Apple Health ID Cards: What You Need to Know

1. ProviderOne Services Card

  • You may need it for pharmacy services or certain medical visits
  • Keep this card in a safe place
2. MCO Member ID Card Issued by: Your MCO
  • Used for the majority of medical and mental health appointments
  • Provides details necessary for scheduling and billing
  • Bring this card to your Mindful Therapy Group appointments

  • Step 1: Visit the Mindful Therapy Group website
  • Step 2: Use the provider search tool
  • Step 3: Filter by your Managed Care Organization (MCO)

This ensures you’re matched with a clinician who is in network with your Apple Health plan.

Our Mission

Mindful Therapy Group began in Washington with one goal: to create a safe, inclusive space where healing and mental wellness can thrive. From day one, our founders set out to build more than just a therapy practice. They envisioned a place where people from all backgrounds could access care without judgment, stigma, or barriers.

Too often, mental health care feels out of reach for those that need it most. Long waitlists, confusing insurance systems, and a lack of culturally competent providers leave many feeling unseen and unheard. We set out to change that.
