Overview
I see my role in therapy as a guide, encouraging partner, and as a kind and consistent touchstone of accountability. You really do the work of therapy – I accompany you towards your goals. I will assist you to clarify goals for your therapy.
My therapeutic approach combines systemic training with a trauma informed strength- based model. I embody a belief that everyone can access creativity, passion, joy, and authenticity within themselves and in their relationships. In my work with clients I encourage a healthy lifestyle in diet, exercise, sleep, and time in nature.
Sometimes therapy involves uncovering and discussing unpleasant aspects of your life. I commit to being a present and attuned witness and support. Psychotherapy has also been shown to have many health benefits relationally and in physical health. Therapy often leads to better relationships and solutions to specific problems.
