Hello! My name is Awilda. I was born and raised on the beautiful Nez Perce Reservation in Idaho. My mother is a member of the Nez Perce Tribe and my father is from the Dominican Republic. I love traveling with my husband and children, attending family gatherings and reading books from a variety of genres.
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) practicing in Washington. I hold a Master's Degree in Social Work from Boise State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Lewis-Clark State College. I have 14 years of professional experience within the social work field, primarily in child welfare and adult services. I’ve partnered with clients to navigate through challenges involving anxiety, trauma, addiction, mood disorders, physical disability, adjustment issues, domestic abuse, parenting and multicultural issues.
I am dedicated to incorporating a holistic approach that involves client collaboration, identification of client strengths and empowerment.
