Overview

James Salazar has worked in behavioral health in multiple capacities in inpatient, outpatient, and system settings. All of his work has been focused on the psychiatric care of individuals, whether directly or indirectly.

James Salazar is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), and licensed as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) in Washington State. Salazar received his graduate degree from Gonzaga University. Prior to that he earned an associate’s degree in nursing at Lake Washington Institute of Technology before going on to receive a bachelor’s in nursing at University of Washington, Bothell.

James Salazar has a passion to work with adolescents and adults, along with their families and partners, in reducing the barriers and obstacles that mental-health illness can present.

Living in King and Pierce Counties over the last decade, James Salazar is happily married, has one young child, and is an avid Star Wars and Star Trek fan.
