Micaela is a passionate, empathetic therapist who utilizes collaboration, humor, and the therapeutic relationship. With an anti-oppressive approach, she has spent the last ten years primarily working with trauma survivors and those affected by gender-based violence. Micaela's modalities of interest include Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Eye Movement Rapid (EMDR).

Her holistic and collaborative therapy approach focuses on social justice, with a touch of humor. Micaela believes in practicing therapy with compassion and critical self-awareness, soliciting feedback throughout the therapeutic process. She sees therapy as a non-judgmental space for self-discovery and skill-building, recognizing that all aspects of one's experiences and identities shape their journey in the world. Micaela herself is Autistic and ADHD as well as having other identities which help to bring lived experience to therapy.
