Overview
I'm a graduate of the clinically-focused Wilma Kepner School of Social Work and Sociology at Walla Walla University. I have experience working with all kinds of people; in county detox, folks with developmental disabilities, refugees, patients and families in the hospital, hospice, and community mental health. I strive to be the therapist that I have needed, a guide who could help me navigate my own inner terrain, make sense of my experiences, and better understand and accept myself. Therapy is a big investment and as your therapist I will want to make every minute count. I utilize a client-centered, strength-based approach. You are the expert on you and my job is to help you recognize and access your own healing capabilities. I incorporate elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and somatic or body-based modalities.
I am a master's-level candidate holding a certificate to practice in Oregon as a social work associate. I practice under a board-approved clinical supervisor, pursuant to OAR 877-020-0012, at Mindful Therapy Group, P.C.
