My favorite part about being a therapist is getting to listen and understand a person’s story. You may be feeling hurt, stressed, anxious, worried, misunderstood, and unsure about change. Life can push and pull into many directions until you feel lost and disconnected. As a therapist, I get the opportunity to listen, offer new perspectives, help problem solve, and support you to become the best version of yourself. Your thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected and changing one can create positive change in the others. I work with individuals who struggle with obsessive compulsive disorder, stress and anxiety, dealing with emotional abuse, trauma, and negative self-talk. Self-awareness is often the first step in understanding and process how you feel. Allowing yourself to identify and feel your feelings rather than suppressing them or distracting yourself from them can allow you to free yourself to focus on improving your life.
