Overview

I attended Seattle University, where I received a BA in philosophy and an MA in clinical psychology. My undergraduate studies led me to realize that philosophy and psychology are fundamentally linked, and this realization shifted my career path away from professorship and towards psychotherapy - where I now hope to embody a source of hope for my clients, just as my professors embodied for me as a student.

My approach to therapy is predominantly relational, prioritizing the relationship between the client and counselor. Research has shown that it is the relationship fostered between therapist and client that is the most significant factor in creating both short-term and long-term changes. I draw on various theories and modalities such as psychodynamic theory, hermeneutics, existential theory, narrative therapy, feminist theory, and more. However, my top priority will always be the reciprocal attunement and developing interconnection between client and counselor
