Overview
My approach is centered on listening first, understanding the whole person, and creating a treatment plan together. I believe effective mental health care is not a one-size-fits-all process. Each person has a unique history, strengths, challenges, priorities, and goals, and those factors should guide their care.
With more than 25 years of experience in healthcare—including 17 years as a critical care RN, followed by practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner and now as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner—I bring a broad clinical perspective to mental health treatment. My experience has taught me the importance of looking beyond a diagnosis and considering the physical, emotional, psychological, and environmental factors that may be affecting someone's well-being.
