Overview
I am a licensed clinical social worker here in the state of Washington. I received my Master's of Social Work degree from University of Southern California and a Bachelor's in Science from Indiana University of South Bend.
My professional experience began years ago working within the school systems, hospital setting, non-profit organizations and currently outpatient therapy. I believe in a person-centered, strengths-based approach validating and supporting personal agency. Specializing in trauma-informed therapy, I also utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, play therapy, role playing with mindfulness skills.
Emotional regulation is also a top priority when working with clients as and I will teach different methods to help with grounding techniques. Many relationship challenges experienced as adults stem from attachment and/or abandonment issues during childhood. Specializing in trauma-informed therapy addresses and works to heal these wounds.
