My ideal client now as a child who is dealing with depression or anxiety. Challenges they are facing intense feelings of sadness, or worry. At a fundamental level, they would likely wants to feel happier, and more like themselves. There's an underlying hope that things can get better and that they can find ways to heal.
I can offer a space where Sam might feel comfortable exploring their feelings without the fear of judgment. I can offer positive and encouraging messages, reminding Sam of their strengths and the possibility of feeling better. This can counter negative self-talk and foster a sense of hope.
