Overview

Hi, I’m Topher Welsch. I specialize in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), a practical and goal-oriented approach designed to help you build on your strengths and create meaningful change.

SFBT is recognized as an evidence-based practice by the American Psychological Association and supported by more than 250 research studies. It is proven effective for concerns such as depression, anxiety, substance use and grief. This model is intentionally short-term—many people find that 4–6 sessions are enough to make significant progress. If you’re seeking a longer-term, ongoing therapeutic relationship, you may want to consider a Mindful therapist who offers a more traditional therapy approach.

In our work together, we’ll clarify what you want to be different, notice what’s already working, and draw on your own resources to support lasting change. My role is to help you create a future where challenges no longer define you—and to walk alongside you as you build it.

I am a master's-level candidate holding a certificate to practice in Oregon as a social work associate. I practice under a board-approved clinical supervisor, pursuant to OAR 877-020-0012, at Mindful Therapy Group, P.C.
