Overview

You’re the one who learned early how to hold everything together. Maybe you were the oldest child or the one who became the “second parent” because someone had to step up. You learned responsibility before rest and were praised for being mature, strong, or independent, while quietly putting your own needs aside to keep the peace.

Now you’re grown, but you still feel it. You’re the helper, the fixer, the one others rely on, yet privately you feel overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected from who you are outside of what you do for others.

You may feel guilty when you rest, struggle to know what you want, or feel constantly “on.” If you have ADHD, starting and finishing tasks may feel especially hard, leading to frustration, unfinished projects, and shame. I want you to know: there is nothing wrong with you.

These patterns come from growing up too fast. Therapy helps you slow down, heal, and choose yourself. If you’re done being the strong one, let’s connect.
